Nope. He was only on site the day the floor slab was supposed to be laid. I fulfilled my duty as the client and expressed my concerns regarding the driveway. And that beforehand. So I'm in the clear, right?
I would see it the same way. The problem is, even if you are right, when it costs money, companies are stubborn at first. And then the question is, when do you want to have your house finished... Really annoying story.
not nearly as much dropped as forecasted. Why was there actually a concrete pump there when there is no reinforcement yet. Makes little sense. What does the contractual relationship look like? Simply put, extreme case, if you ordered the concrete and the offer states that the client provides access, it would be your problem.
As already mentioned, they wanted to pour everything at once. When the concrete pump had left again, the guys also started again. Concrete was ordered by the construction company.
The second attempt at the foundation slab action has now also taken place. Again, the site manager called me around noon to say they had to stop. This time the pump broke down before it could be started. But the concrete mixers were able to drive onto the property and so two trucks were able to unload, allowing at least 90% of the foundation to be poured. For the third appointment, a road closure is now being requested, which I am supposed to organize. So something is definitely not right. The guys ran off again this time and did not finish the formwork or install the reinforcement. That would be nonsense, right?
