Buying a house without a mortgage loan

I assume it's excuses. I "have to" wait two weeks now until I find out if we are allowed to enter the house with the appraiser.

How does she justify that?

This week late shift, ergo no time and next week it will be decided whether her dog will be operated on. I have late shift myself and I believe that before the late shift one certainly has an hour of time, she doesn't have to walk through the house.

If you are not under time pressure, I would approach the topic very calmly. I assume that you are the only interested parties. The longer it takes, the cheaper it will be for you if she really wants to sell. I would communicate that to her as well. And if it still doesn’t work out, then it just shouldn’t be.

I would show understanding in this situation, but still obtain the power of attorney for the authorities. Then you can take care of the tedious administrative formalities, and the good lady gets time gifted to fully concentrate on her dog. You can certainly sell that to her as a win-win situation. Just keep at it. Even if this house doesn’t end up being the one, you will learn a lot for the next opportunity.

Tassimat, I have already offered her in a message to help her with the measuring. She did not respond to that. I guess it is all just too much work for her and she imagined it to be easier. I think if someone gave her the amount in cash, she would prefer that a thousand times more.
