No, I definitely will not get a driver's license now and get a car. I have managed almost my entire life without a car and grew up in a place where few buses! ran during the day. I also live now in a town with a train station, I work at a train station. I also think it's naive to believe that with 3 children you never need anything other than the train when nothing else is accessible on foot. You don't want a driver's license or a car; that's too stressful or too expensive for you. But buying a house that needs renovation and that the bank currently doesn't want to finance would, from your point of view, not be a problem. What can you say to that.
