old house, now the bathroom is only a "office bathroom / toilet" On the left you can still see the frame of the "glass block window". Where the wooden window is now, there used to be a glass block wall. Before the bathroom became a bathroom, it was a small workshop (behind the blue door in the wall is the cellar with the oil tanks...) Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the glass blocks. They were quite dirty white from the outside (like a dripstone cave) from dripping water (there is a terrace above). The water problem was solved upstairs (terrace above terrace with roof and separate drainage), then the bathroom was renovated. Behind the window is a narrow corridor and 1m away is the neighbor’s house (corridor belongs to the neighbor on the left, house belongs to the neighbor on the right around the corner) The old tiles were treated and then covered with the new tiles Also the base for washing machine and dryer Meanwhile, even "new electricity" has come into the bathroom and you can turn on washing machine and dryer at the same time. Previously 3x 1.5mm² and was connected with something. Now separately protected (sub-distribution in the cellar with its own FI)

Washbasin before and after

The toilet has now been replaced with a larger one with a soft-close mechanism, and of course, the bathroom radiator is back on.

By the way, the floor is click vinyl, installed floating by myself from the leftover materials from the office. In the end, there was honestly at most a DIN A4 sheet left over.

... now I know where the €28,000 for the "German average bathroom" disappear to
But here every cent is really worth it ... cool! How is the view in daylight (window)?
And what will go there as a shower enclosure?

Adjacent to the "band wall" is our carport. On this side, our neighbor is nicely far away and no one has a direct view into the bathroom. A glass wall with a 70cm passage will be used as the shower partition.

28,000 euros for the average bathroom are quickly explained by the ceramic mafia. I still find it an outrageous disgrace what is being charged here by the wholesaler or installer compared to similar prices from the internet.
