We picked out the washbasin countertop ourselves at the wholesale store, it was supposed to match the tiles reasonably well:
That was a great day!
All the window sills were also cut from the countertop, as well as a slope strip for the shower (but that was the tiler's idea)
The shower caused the most trouble. At first it wasn't possible because the drain was too far away, then only with a raised floor (we didn’t want the dust-catching edge to be visible anywhere). And the wall was too thin. Well, we ended up doing the wall chipping work ourselves with our own plumber and drilled the wastewater directly into the underground garage with a fire protection sleeve...
...helps with the internet when watching music videos in the tub:
By the way, the two-level ceiling with indirect lighting is because of the too-low hanging drain pipe from the apartment above. The builder wanted to build us a small box for that, but we made a virtue of necessity. Lucky us…
I also installed sockets inside the base cabinets and the bathroom cabinet is just great! Everything is connected and within reach.
By the way, the floor is very easy to maintain and you don’t see any hairs on it; we tiled at butcher block height—contrary to the trend.
Not so in the guest WC. I still have to photograph that.
Hope this hasn’t been too lengthy and I could provide some input. In my name signature you will also find the tiler’s visualization, to whom I owe special thanks!
