This is our "emergency option" if the plant wall does not take root as expected. Currently, we still assume that it will work out. I would really like a wild growth of different plants. Unfortunately, that would not be possible with the climbing plants.

Now that everything is (more or less) clean for the first time, I’ll bombard you with my bathroom photos.

I am not a fan of wall-mounted sinks, but I really like the selection of tiles / color combination.

I also find it very busy. Not the colors, they are very nice, but the many visual triangles. There are many angles and edges of all kinds to be seen. The wall tiles are amazing!

Yes, I hadn’t really wanted all the angles and corners in the dream bathroom like that, that was due to our wish to have a large shower (120x100) which had to fit where there is no sloping roof, and I still wanted the bathtub positioned diagonally. Then there was a small niche left at the back. We were offered to wall it up so it would look more consistent, but then we would have lost the only storage space. We plan to build a low drawer chest into the small corner at the back and cover it again with oak wood. You can then hide most things there and put something decorative on top. The space behind the shower, which then remains hidden from view, can get a hook rail, where we will hang bathrobes and so on. If I had had 5 m² more available, I would have liked it to be a bit more open, but under the given conditions I am very satisfied with the result.

P.S.: It also looks a bit more extreme than it really is because I used my wide-angle lens for the photos. And although I am actually a very solid portrait photographer, I somehow can only handle that thing semi-well.

Gladly, I will report after we have showered the first few times. We have a 120x100cm built-in shower. We moved the showerhead slightly to the right (not exactly centered in the 120cm). The shower floor is sloped so the water drains away. The entrance is kept rather narrow at about 60cm. But I assume you are concerned about splash water. According to neighbors who built a very similar shower, that should not be a problem. Bath mats, underfloor heating, a squeegee with a long handle, controlled residential ventilation with exhaust in that room, and otherwise everything is tiled. As long as you don't create a pool in the middle of the bathroom, I don't think much will happen.
