I agree.

The idea of an easy-care garden is definitely NOT realized through lawn, pavement, and fences. There is a lot of ignorance at work here, and honestly, taste aside: This trend is the low-quality outfit of outdoor areas. Cheap in appearance, but it has fans… ;-) (Now I have probably dissed some people thoroughly)

Unfortunately not. This property is an existing building with a garden, where many trees and shrubs have been and are being planted and maintained in an environmentally friendly way. I do not see the connection to the roll lawn of the OP.

That may be true. However, anyone who lets others do everything should definitely give up the idea of making a garden cheaply. I spent 12,000€ on materials and rental equipment alone, without actually planning any expensive pavement (driveway 20€, terrace 35€, certainly no longer realistic with energy prices). The retaining wall was also not included in the calculation. On top of that, garden shed and carport are additional, so the total budget is somewhere around double that. Just for the materials. If you then add labor, you certainly shouldn’t start under 40k. I also don’t understand how anyone gets the idea that a 2 degree slope is a big deal.

It was not about the trees and shrubs, but the saying about the moral duty of land ownership. To what extent should that be declined? Actually, all landowners should build up completely with as many residential units as possible so that the space used for living is minimal. Then there is more nature left – just elsewhere. That would be the logical moral duty if you think it through to the end. You have land and a house in a good location, inefficiently used and thus have done nothing against land consumption. What you advise the TE does not apply to you? That is, of course, a polemical provocation. It is nonsense to go that far. But that makes your comment about moral obligation inappropriate. Because if there were such an obligation, every single-family house owner would have already given it up long before even thinking about the garden. A single-family house per se does not fit with that, no matter what kind of garden. The TE and nature are best helped by showing low-maintenance alternatives that give nature considerably more room than plastic-packaged lawn areas. Because we all agree here that THAT is nonsense.

I thought today was April 1st, but it's already the 10th. Some people really have opinions, wow.

Well, as already said, see the development plan or environmental office. They will help you there.
Many would probably be surprised how precise the descriptions of the plans for their gardens are. And if nothing is stated there, there is almost always a general objective / regulation by the environmental authority regarding landscape design.

I see it very differently. In terms of environmental protection, the land is best used when the areas are not sealed. Cities complain about overheating and are happy about every green leaf. Your propaganda contradicts reality in my opinion.
