I think the wood paneling is great.. what type of wood did you use and how was it installed?

We are currently also waiting for the screed, but that is more due to the previous work that needs to be done, in our case the interior plaster. We have waited a bit for it now, but more because of the outside temperatures than because of Putin. =)

The staircase will eventually get wooden steps so that the steel substructure is no longer visible. Currently, I have just screwed a few boards on so that we can already use it. By the way, there will probably be no tiles anywhere in the house. I have only planned exposed screed and microcement, also in the bathrooms.

The delays in my construction project are currently more due to myself than Putin, but of course we have also gone through all the crises that have occurred over the past four years.

And thanks for the compliment. The house is completely self-designed and largely realized as a DIY project. Soon we will finally move in.

Sicht-Estrich means you can see it? Nothing else is put on top? I wanted it that way with our underfloor heating too, but my wife wanted wood. Now it is thin, dark oak, looks great and feels good.

These are very simple dried shuttering boards from the sawmill in intentionally different widths. Just like with the (completely new) exposed roof frame, every board and every beam here was brushed, peeled, and stained several times with different tools – in various shades to create the best possible old wood look. I searched for a good solution for some time and found it in this. The boards were attached to the substructure with screws and wedges. I screwed in at an angle. Thus, not a single screw is visible. It was a lot of work but worthwhile in the end. A few boards are still missing.
