He is a she :-) I developed my floor plan with a planning software and am currently working on restoring it after I destroyed it with an update. Please be patient for a moment. It is coming.

this wall looks above average thick. (how thick actually?)
Was that necessary for the ring beam or are there other reasons?

(that the post is now inserted halfway afterwards is unintentional)

Yes, I usually manage it. Can you tell?

Not for the ring beam. It is 36.5 cm calcium silicate brick, and that was only necessary because the KFW required it in areas where we are supplementing old triple masonry with new. It will be a KfW55-EE house. A thinner brick would have sufficed otherwise. As a result, with insulation and facing brickwork, we end up with quite thick walls.

I was able to google KfW, but I didn’t find "Dreifachmauerwerk." What I (also) haven’t understood yet: Are there still old walls included? To me, it looks like it was newly built. Probably because of that the special shape with the two roofs? I joined in at the last photos and hadn’t read all the posts from 2018 on ... sorry.
