"Modern Rustic Style"

just seen for the first time ...

If I had to describe what I see from the pictures, it is:
Visible beams and similar "construction methods" (i.e., techniques from earlier times) are combined with modern possibilities.

That's exactly what I like about your house  (are there any new pictures again?)

(and close to what I did with our house too, without knowing the "Modern Rustic Style" ;))

I quickly took one from the street view, although our street is a simple dirt road. Outside, not much is happening at the moment except for sealing the windows and work on our biocleaning system. We are currently installing the insulation between the rafters in the attic and will start with the vapor barrier tomorrow (different roof structures in the three elements of the house).

We have chosen a special structure for our roofs. The box gutters rest on the future brickwork. The roof still looks a bit unfinished because it will be completely framed in zinc. So there is a wider sheet metal instead of verge tiles. Unfortunately, we won’t manage the facing brickwork with old stones from the demolition of the old buildings this year. We are also going to do the bricklaying ourselves. My boyfriend taught me masonry on an outbuilding (a 72 sqm open pergola in the garden - a former burned-down barn - meanwhile already re-roofed). I can gladly show that here as well.

We also built a working fireplace using the fireclay bricks from the old stove house and an outdoor kitchen (all DIY).

Attached are also some pictures of how our yard looked before.

Thanks, we end up with about 260sqm plus approx. 40sqm double garage integrated into the house. I don’t like to calculate exactly because the number always seems much bigger to me than it actually feels in the end.

because the number always seems much bigger to me than it ultimately feels like

that's how I feel too ...
for me, a large part is workshop ... that somehow counts differently ... I mean internally ...
