So in our industry, you don't get far with that attitude. It's always surprising how differently something is perceived. You, flat shoes, jeans, laptop in the workshop score points. Anything that leans towards a status symbol is downgraded. Oil on the hands is better received than perfectly manicured nails. But yes, on an equal level with the counterpart. My counterparts see themselves as farmers, workers, etc. Then come estate owners who look like they just came from the barn, owners of large construction companies who look like they just drove a roller, and so on. Attitudes towards women have also changed massively for the better in recent years.

Honestly, with this cliché old white men crew, telecommuting wouldn’t really be well received anyway. You have to show up at their headquarters and impress on site. I would have liked to see a study showing that the representativeness of [Home-Office] has a positive impact on incoming orders. As I said, inductive - not just a mere correlation, because then I would rather assume a reversed causal chain...

I assume that the OP correctly assesses their industries. Although in the TelKo – or whatever you want to call the conversation – you don’t necessarily see how big the office is. So that’s more of a somewhat compelling argument. From my 25 sqm living room, you can only see the bookshelf behind me. And not the LEGO chaos in the rest of the room. But I actually do need my 20 sqm in the office – thanks to working with blueprints and equipment samples. But all that is so much off-topic regarding the question. ;)

No, it is not, if the number of required parking spaces is directly related to the living area. It can of course be that an office used for more than 50% professionally can also be declared as usable area, then the offices should be even larger. Does anyone know that?

So far, it has been the case (in Bavaria) that office space can only be excluded from the living space calculation if the area is registered as commercial - for which a parking space must be proven again. With the new Corona rules - who knows.

A childhood friend set up his company in a former restaurant. Partly with original furniture from the 70s, bar and all. It really looks very "rustic". This is how I imagine the early years of Google, Amazon, and Face_book, etc. :)
But this does not harm the company itself ...
