I just noticed: I would move the access to the storage room at the carport to the side opposite the front door. Both options work for the lawn mower, and for bicycles and the trash cans it is more practical this way.

Thank you for your feedback!

Regarding the pantry: we are also undecided. Actually, we would rather not do without it, but it is really squeezed in and the kitchen would look nicer without it. We don’t really use it as a pure storage room, it holds not only food but also things like beverage crates, baking pans, and other items that are not used frequently but are still nice to have close to the kitchen. Moving the kitchen overall to the left to create a straight wall would cost the window over the corner, I don’t know…

Regarding the dressing room: the suggestion is great, thank you! I much prefer accessing the small room from the hallway. Otherwise, the upper floor fits. Except that I would have preferred the bedroom to be in the north. But this way the two bathrooms are stacked on top of each other.

Quoting doesn’t work either, so without:

Regarding the living area: the distance between the sofa and the wall should be 4 m. That was our specification. Unfortunately, I don’t have the exact measurements yet, but it shouldn’t be less than that, I hope!

The property: yes, who cares if the house is not parallel to the street? I don’t know, and neither do we, really. But it still somehow feels strange to imagine. However, we would lose a lot of garden in the south if we position it as shown in the plan.

The hallway: that was also my first thought. Quite long! Although I’m more concerned about the appearance (tube-like?) than the lighting. The front door will also have side glass elements, and probably the door to the living area as well. Is that enough?

We don’t yet know exactly where the entrance to the storage room behind the carport should go, but sideways makes sense. First, a decision must be made whether it will be a carport or a garage. And the terrace roof will also be different, made of wood. I find this one quite plain, and made of wood it could also better match the possible carport and/or a roof over the entrance.

Best regards

I would always prefer, if possible, a large recreational garden and a small front yard / building line garden. Where a building line does not force you to turn the street into a corridor with regimented rows of houses, I would also take that freedom.

I am also an advocate of the pantry. Of course, it is not much colder there, but you can still store well. For example, I only buy pasta, rice, canned tomatoes, etc. 2-3 times a year and store the rest. Even if you get the same storage space with kitchen cabinets (which I don't believe), the whole thing would cost significantly more (kitchen cabinets >> shelves) and besides, I don't want my vacuum cleaner and mop directly in the kitchen.

I would also like 's suggestion. This makes it a proper pantry. Of course, it's a pity if you want the corner window. But instead, a double window is also not bad and cheaper.

Without the fashionable detail of the corner window, however, something "special" is missing, which in my opinion adds a "touch of shape" to the otherwise very classic regional architecture.
