May I pick this up again, please? I’ve had the FlexHD lying around for some time now. At the terrace, I have an installation cable hanging from the facade at about 2.50 m height. I have now ordered a keystone module, heat shrink tubes, and a short, flat CAT cable. I would prefer to mount the whole thing as “cleanly” as possible on the wall. Now I at least have to live with having a piece of relatively stiff installation cable plus patch cable on the wall. I’m not really happy about that. I’ve been looking for quite some time for a reasonable, stable, not too ugly surface-mounted box where I can hide the installation cable including the keystone module. Ideally, it should be mountable on the wall outlet of the installation cable. That way I could screw the Flex onto the box and you would “only” see the patch cable going from the box to the Flex. Have you come across anything useful for this? Or anyone else, gladly? We have installed Flex HDs outside, among other things. Works great. In terms of height, I would recommend the floor ceiling between the ground floor and the upper floor. Run the installation cable through the wall, then Keystone + patch cable. Keystone wrapped with insulating tape or heat shrink tubing. Depending on the wall/facade structure, hide the whole thing in a box. The access point can then be mounted on the lid. Mounting is easiest with a flat patch cable. The Flex HD has a very small bracket (with 2 small screws). The patch cable goes through the bracket and the access point is then plugged on. Using a patch cable with strain relief will be a bit fiddly...
