In the radio shadow on the terrace, install an extra one immediately. With modern windows, (almost) no signal really gets through.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, we forgot to lay LAN cables out to the terrace upfront. During the construction phase when we could run cables through the facade, everything went extremely fast. However, we will have to lay some LAN cables to the parking spaces anyway (Wallboxes). I'll just add some additional ones and run them sideways to the terrace (house wall). Our balcony will also come sometime in the summer; it will have internal drainage. We can probably also run a LAN cable up in another support and use it for another FlexHD. Actually, I also wanted to install a Freifunk router (because of Störer Haftung) as guest WLAN. If I can still accommodate it reasonably well aesthetically, I'll take care of it at the same time.

Our electrician resisted with all his might laying installation cables outside. New solution: network socket in the garage under the ceiling and drill a hole through the wall, then run a patch cable through and crimp a connector on it. Then place the access point on the hole. Done. :) Cables are completely invisible.

Don't you want to drill bigger right away and push the patch cable through? I wouldn't trust the crimp solution outside without additional sealing measures...

The option also still exists, but you can also crimp the inner connector yourself. ;)

Freifunk is great. I've thought about it too. We use it with three APs at work for guests. Very cool thing.
