Why is _no one allowed_ to install my washbasins?

One can find an offer too expensive for oneself and a comprehensible argumentation not conclusive for one's own situation. Then you simply don't make the deal. A higher price with very good service and the rejection of installing third-party products for liability reasons are no reason for derogatory insinuations.

The offer for the [Santiär Gegenstände] can be expensive as far as I'm concerned, then I just say no. But not wanting to install the same purchased items because the hidden profit is reduced is simply unacceptable. And that is just cheeky. It is the same with the electrician, where is the difference between sockets of the brand Gira from Bauhaus or directly from the electrician? There is none, only that the electrician charges double on his to increase his wage.

It is a completely normal assessment in the dimensions of margin and risk. There is nothing cheeky about it. You don't like his offer, you find it too expensive, he does not want an order on your terms. There is nothing more to it.

It was like this with us: Within the close family circle, there was a plumber who was happy to install the toilet, washbasin, etc. For the shower and bathtub, we clearly wanted to hire the sanitary professional because of the warranty. So we ordered everything else from reuter (toilet, washbasin, faucet...), after we had discussed this with the sanitary professional; he was then only supposed to carry out the rough installation in the mentioned cases. Then disaster: the relative had knee surgery, couldn’t do anything at all, but we had already ordered everything. Our sanitary professional was great then! He installed everything on a time-and-materials basis. Overall, compared to the sample offer, we still saved a good four-figure amount and had exactly what we really wanted.

Sorry It is about a general contractor construction, not one with self-award.

Ah ok. But I can still understand if someone is not satisfied with the products offered in the exhibition. Maybe you can explain it to the plumber who is installing anyway and have it installed on a time and material basis (but that doesn't automatically mean "cheap").
