Why is _no one allowed_ to install my washbasins?

Provided it is installed correctly, the manufacturer. You can prove whether it is installed correctly with photos. I hate this amateurish warranty talk in the plumbing sector, that’s why we bought almost everything online at half price and with the money saved it was more than enough not only to choose the standard but quality goods all the way to the washbasin, which was cheap.

An acrylic bathtub should be filled once beforehand to prevent cracks. The installer supposedly did that. I am sure he did not do it. If I had ordered everything from the internet, I would now have a 3,500 euro bathtub and everyone would blame each other. But as it is, everything goes through the plumber and I do not end up paying any costs.

Good morning, has it already been replaced? Of course, you transferred the liability to the craftsman, but if he made a mistake, he certainly doesn't have 3,500 euros just lying around. In addition, the tiles break during removal and so on. I have experienced far too much in my over 40 years, but I hope it all turns out well for you, you can't really bathe with the room temperatures :^)

It apparently always depends on who you have as a plumber/service provider. Ours said they are not allowed (or do not want) to do that because of the warranty, since they would then also have to assume the warranty for the parts we bought on the internet. Simply put: I buy a counterfeit washbasin from Gilderoy & Bosch, they assemble it for me, the washbasin crumbles to dust -> the craftsman is liable.

He pointed out to me that they would be at our house anyway for the final installation of the other sanitary fixtures, and if we then do our own work, they would be happy to "help" us a bit. I assume if we had had some cash with us, one of the guys might have helped a little more. But that is just a guess; we didn’t try it, it was too risky for us.

No, it has not been replaced yet. The plumber is ordering the manufacturer of the tub to come to us to take a look. Haha, that was good

As actually expected, it will be difficult to procure the equipment for the sanitary area in EL...

It might be possible with fittings, or also a towel radiator, which would not be a problem according to our main contractor. For the rest, he has 0% commission, but his sanitary partner about 40%.

We used this hook to continue negotiating in other areas, as we intended, and it worked great.

We are now waiting for the very last offer. Based on this offer, we will then decide whether this main contractor or the other one, who is also still in the running.
