Why is _no one allowed_ to install my washbasins?

In which region do you live? If it is near us, I can ask my husband. We now live in the Karlsruhe district and are moving to the Leipzig district.

Oh, I just realize that I didn’t answer your question and can’t answer it either.

So the majority thinks they just don’t want to and still say "aren't allowed"? I find that strange. For example, the carpenter, he is there in the house anyway for the stairs. He wouldn’t even have travel costs, he could just write me any nice invoice for that. :/

The plumber also said something about warranty claims, but I didn’t fully understand it. He is also in our house. He installs the tub, the toilets, and the shower. I said we could also exclude the warranty. But he said it was "doesn’t matter what I sign for him," if it went to court, he would always be liable if "water comes out of the wall" somewhere. But I wonder if that wouldn’t be the case anyway if water comes out somewhere that isn’t a pipe. I mean, it can’t be my washbasin’s fault if water flows into the wall under the plaster, for example? If water comes out of the pipe somewhere and flows into my bathroom, then that’s my fault / the fault of the washbasin installation. That can be clearly distinguished, right, or am I not aware correctly?

They don't want to because there is always ongoing dispute about who is responsible for a defect that occurs. Suppose he installs it and you later have a crack in the washbasin.

Is he to blame?
Was it a material defect?
Did you cause it and blame him?
Is the basin even suitable?

Lots of uncertainties he prefers to avoid.
On the other hand, he doesn't earn much from it compared to parts he supplies where he can add a good markup.

The warranty applies not only to the installation but also to the washbasin that he did not procure and does not know. If contractual exclusion is attempted, it ends up in court and one formulation was wrong. Bad luck for the craftsman. So stay away from it. I understand every craftsman there.
