Thank you for the numerous responses. But the actual question was not about the property, but rather how you decide with whom you would build.

Oops ... well, the answer hit the first post in the thread quite well, but you're right, it all had somewhat gone off track. ^^

Ypg put it quite briefly
“The one who flatters you the least”

1. Buy land
2. Find a construction company

or
Developer with land and house
Without the phrase “of course separated because of taxes”

I am saying, the OP does not want to hear any suitable answers.

Mr. Müller-Lüdenscheidt, I ALWAYS bathe with this duck. Anyway, I read the rest more carefully. Of course, I agree with the majority of the forum: Signing a construction contract before you have a plot of land is not a good idea. The reasons for this have been explained here and throughout the forum several times. The construct "the land will then be bought separately because of taxes" is also an old hat; the tax office usually sees through such transactions and gets what it is entitled to. What speaks against building with a proper developer who offers land and house as a unit? I would _NEVER_ enter into a construction contract with someone who assures me they will then find me a plot of land. You then have a legally binding contract, and no matter what you later don’t like about the land, where it is located, or what is wrong with it. Your house will be built there. Don’t put yourself in such a dependent position. We also inquired early with our construction company. They actually, as 11ant already said, politely said “We can talk about your wishes in advance and I will introduce you to our company in the first appointment. Everything else then when you know where the journey is going.” In other words, polite marketing-speak for: Come back when you have a plot of land. My 5 cents on "snappy" answers: I didn't find them directly snappy, but somewhat arrogant indeed. However, I can’t blame the people for that. If you read here longer, you know how often these and similar questions have already been discussed.

But it was in no way about the property itself, whether it exists or not.

Solely the partly unfriendly answers immediately, which had nothing to do with the actual question.

And sorry guys, but just because you are not from Erfurt and the surrounding area, it doesn’t mean you have to know everything better.

We have also been looking for properties ourselves for a while now.
Most are, as already said, gone quite quickly. Strangely, certain construction companies then said that "they" still have some. I explained more about this yesterday.

It also has nothing to do with the laziness of people who don’t get off their butts.

I would be happy if we could now return to the actual question and finally end the topic of the property. Thank you very much.

And on the topic of 2013, you are welcome to send me a PM, otherwise it does not belong here. Thanks as well.

Have a nice Sunday everyone
