No one can be so stupid as to buy a property for 500k€. Some people raise 6 children for that!

I know enough office workers who use the trash bin under their desk for all kinds of garbage, without considering that it is only for paper. And in the "office" environment, waste separation is usually not practiced in the coffee corner/kitchenette/tea room either, although they are supposed to.

But I would never call them antisocial for that.

But the tea bags are disposed of in the bin, or are simply left lying on the table or floor? That’s what it’s about. Before waste separation, there first has to be a waste bin as the first step.

Throwing cigarette butts around may be acceptable when you’re working away in construction worker mode. But if the builder sets up some ashtrays and says: "Dear people, please put your butts here," and they still fly around like before, that is antisocial. Pretty simple.

Or shorter: construction workers are not automatically jerks. But those who throw their trash around despite requests not to are.

During my consulting time, I was at a client in Erlangen for several months.

I was then standing in a smoking cabin when a Chinese man joined me.
Brief side note. You know the normal gray office carpets, right

The Chinese man took a drag from his cigarette, exhaled, and spat on the carpet. He did this deliberately with every puff until the cigarette was finished.

Was that normal for the cultural background? Probably yes, so what?
Basically, I'm pretty easygoing about such things. He is a guest in a country and should feel at home, but it was somehow kind of strange.
