If there are such affordable apartments with you, that would really be a good alternative!
You have to specify a concrete amount. Because in the past, there was talk of a 1% repayment with a rate under €1000.
I would say off the top of my head: €1700 rate + €500 additional costs.
Less €880 warm rent and €70 garage, that leaves €1250 per month that currently always (!) need to be available. As said, even considering the expense list a few posts earlier, that's within the realm of possibility.
I see it similarly. Maybe a bit high in tendency. I would take €1000 as the rate and try to pay an additional €300 from self-employment as a special repayment.
But overall, I now see you more in a condominium.
No one is saying to use toilet paper twice and not everyone has to do the exact same thing. But with over €1000 for a stroller, financed camera... with that income, you simply can’t buy a house in Berlin. How far they want to restrict themselves for that can only be answered by the two of them. But for a house with 160 sqm as originally desired, significant restrictions will simply be necessary, that should have become clear by now.
@ Mohouse: You probably earn more than €4700 BEFORE the child and you have limited yourselves in size and luxury for your house wishes, right? For example, items like a fireplace were also discussed at length with us, whether we could afford it. Fireplace or 3 nice vacations?
