(Edit: there was a bit of nonsense here because I am not really familiar with ETW)

You state the monthly service charge as 300 euros. Are all additional costs included? That seems a bit low to me.

but you should definitely wait until you have a permanent contract in your pocket (which can take years)... just experienced this at my husband's school: a colleague was supposed to become a civil servant, got pregnant --> no civil servant status (and therefore no permanent contract, whether she even got a new contract I don't know because it wasn't clear the last time I talked to my husband about it)

Nope, if the other circumstances fit, that rather sounds like a good idea. You won’t be broke either with one salary for a few more years. Getting a civil servant position before pregnancy would of course be the icing on the cake. But children are better than civil servant positions.

Exactly. When you approach it that way, there is never a right time to have children. There is always something.

And especially as an academic woman, you have to take the step at some point because the biological clock is ticking.
If she is lucky with her field of study and it is needed in the area, she will always be welcomed with open arms.
In the end, it always depends on the field of study.
STEM subjects are a safe bet.

So the car was paid for from the 100k. The savings rate is actually that high. I only indulged in a few things, like an e-bike and tech, no vacations because we like to travel around the region. The child could also come before the state exam, but we live near my parents who support us. Unfortunately, Corona pushed her state exam back by almost a year, first exam passed and then all the others were canceled. In my parents' current apartment, we absolutely don't have to pay anything, but it's only 35-40 sqm. As subjects, she has German, geography, and economics for secondary and intermediate schools. The house money is an estimate based on experience. I expect it to be more.

Ok... then generally plan for a bit more. It sounds to me like this is the first time you're really paying for everything yourself with the condominium. Everyone is a bit shocked at first, seeing where the euros disappear to. (Internet, insurance, additional costs, etc. etc.)
A bigger apartment also means more furniture, etc.

300 euros per month is probably really too little. How much reserve is built up every month for the house fund?
On top of that, trash, house electricity, hot water, insurances, your heating and electricity, gardener, caretaker, property management.
In a new building, heating costs are probably lower. But the rest still applies.
