Do you need a window in the dressing room? That could save space again.

Hello haydee, North is actually pointing north here, meaning the plan corresponds to the cardinal directions. The retaining wall is accordingly located on the northern property boundary and is about 14 meters from the edge of the house. We decided that we would rather look at a retaining wall (softened with planting) than orient the living/dining area towards the neighbors. Our own work includes the garage, floor coverings, doors, sanitary facilities in the bathroom, and painting work. It should be noted that we are building in a rural area. The many corners on the upper floor are also an eyesore to us, but we wanted to waste as little space as possible with the hallway (unusable area)...

Hello ypg,

the pantry is supposed to be integrated into the kitchen wall, meaning a 60 cm wide passage through a cabinet door. A freezer and of course food/drinks are to be stored there.

What exactly is an entry bump? Unfortunately, I am not an expert. Do you mean to move the entrance door of the northern children’s room upwards?

Best regards, Kai

We have planned the wardrobe under the stairs. In my opinion, this room is used sensibly that way.

The floor-to-ceiling window is intended to serve as a possible access to the adjacent roof terrace. We had originally planned this "door" in the bedroom. However, the glass surface would then be too large in relation to the room area (summer heat protection)....

That is not sensible, because both need to be changed.

I took a second look: I definitely find the upper floor pointless! You go upstairs and already get depressed by the narrow hallway. So: we are not dealing with a small 109 sqm semi-detached house.
The children's rooms are unacceptable and might be cozy for a kindergarten child, but nothing more. Office at 5!! meters by 2.00 meters... no shelf or cabinet fits in anymore... then this amount of doors, which feel totally unsettling.
Bathroom is a passage room, dressing room fragmented, and if you make the bedroom smaller, what will happen to the only sensible room upstairs?
The same goes for the path to the pantry: shopping, home, 3 doors open and close, then slalom through the house to the pantry through a 60 cm door.
Storage room too large for that.
No cloakroom.[/QUOTE]
