... sounds like a good plan to my ears. You change the wheels twice a year, with the wheelbarrow the shed can also stand there in the garden, the carport is filigree much more decorative.
Let's see if I can convince him. I still hope, against better knowledge, ;-) that we won't need a storage room and the need literally disappears into thin air. :)
I think you overestimate Pinkipong a bit :D. She probably doesn't ride a cargo bike including shopping and children. No offense, ;)
As usual, you're right. :) However, we are thinking about buying a HASE bike because my husband would use a cargo bike for small shopping trips and it would also be an e-bike tandem at the same time. Although this is off-topic now, these things are really, really fun except for the price. We did a test ride once and couldn't stop laughing (and admittedly also cursing ;-) ). If one wants to stop and the other wants to accelerate, it is incredibly funny. :)
But we first have to wait and see how our financial situation looks after the house construction. HASE bikes cost 3 times as much as my last car, which I bought used, and that was at least a SMART.
Is it really intended to have 80 cm between the house and garage/storage room?
My husband likes it this way and I still prefer it to a garage directly at the house. Besides, I still hope that my husband will forgo the storage room and we will only have a carport in front that looks like a Victorian pavilion.
... overall the corridor is not optimal (can you even get through with a bike, pushing it, without dismantling the handlebar?). Therefore I would rather design the storage room at the garage as an open bike port, I would then cover the corridor with translucent roofing and add a decent gate or similar facing the street.

The entrance to the storage room would be at the front, facing the street, so you don't have to go through it with the bike.
... but weeds ... :)
: well, "open" is nothing like that. But I can understand your husband, without a garage would also be bad. Can't the garage be moved further to the right and the other parking space placed in front of the guest WC window? That would save maneuvering if someone is parked in front of the garage. Or put the garage attached to the house, then it's part of the house and you can go around outside ...
I don't like a garage directly attached to the house. I believe that almost every garage impairs the beauty of a house. But we are considering the other idea with the second parking space (which we don't need anyway) in front of the guest WC window. Good idea.
If it is to stay like this, then you can pave completely from the corner of the house to the end of the storage room because grass will never grow there.
We have not yet dealt with the outdoor area. So far, I thought of a "freisitz" (open sitting area) that goes from the technology/HWT into the carport area. If I want to plant something there, shade-tolerant plants would be an option. Or I plant a shrub that closes the passage to the back. But as mentioned, we have not yet planned the garden and outdoor facilities.
Guys, this is only about the terraces!
But true, you first have to deal with the floor plan. ;)
I am grateful for any hints about everything. :)
