Terrace wall to the neighbor - What should we consider?

Sure, they are standing in the middle on the boundary.

Which is basically even good - if you discuss everything beforehand so that the future wall fits for both parties and the foundation is done correctly.

I have read that too.

If you have agreed on this with the neighbor (preferably in writing), then it makes sense. Otherwise, it can lead to disputes at some point. Which I already suspect here.

Exactly here is where the problem is now.

You have a communication problem with the potential for increasing emotional tension. You won't solve that structurally.

Technically:
A wall obviously needs a solid foundation.
Relying on what the neighbor has built for the terrace framing without knowing the details would be negligent.
gives a great tip: The wall does not necessarily have to stand equally on both properties.

So the neighbor is difficult. My suggestion to my husband is that the neighbor should shorten the foundation, and he builds on his property and we on our property, everyone should build what they want. We have 100 other things we could do, plan the garden through and do it properly once. My husband is annoyed by the neighbors and wants a wall and peace, but he doesn’t understand that a wall built in the middle on a 0815 foundation won’t have the length and height we want, and won’t do us any good. So the problem I have is not only with the neighbors but also at home with my husband. I’d rather build everything on my property so everything is my decision. Is 2m height allowed in RLP for terrace partitions? I want to do the other things first. Yes, we are a bit upset because the craftsman was here today asking for money for the work and for materials, but the neighbor didn’t open the door. Of course the mason came 30 minutes later, the neighbor came back at 7 from the night shift, mason at 7:30. But he could have still paid. He supposedly fell asleep. As I said, now everyone can demand understanding from me but there is too much where he builds nonsense, I also know what he wants, that we build everything and he doesn’t have to pay anything, but my husband doesn’t want to understand that. I’m happy to pay for everything and also build on my property, but then what I want and not in the middle what he wants.

Most expensive and craziest option you can choose. Ideally, a JOINT development. Whether like here between the terraces or the classic fence issue (what actually comes after the wall on the rest of the property?).

Check neighborhood law and legislation ;). Or the development plan. Or the city’s statutes.
