I have started planning the kitchen and I am overwhelmed. I feel like I'm at a bazaar. Exactly what you always see on TV reports has happened. So far, I have been to 4 kitchen studios. For 2 of them, I am still waiting for the planning & price. Those are smaller studios, so I am curious. But with the other two, it went exactly as the cliché goes. Each time I asked the boss for a discount, and then it turned into a show. The remarks were laughable. "So we can do it for price X. But then we won't make any money from you. The female boss will probably still want to have a talk with me." And even after the second discount, I always have the feeling that I paid too much. And both of them gave me a deadline. One salesperson even said I would have to sign on the same day. I also don’t know how to proceed tactically smart or how to negotiate properly. I just don’t know how much my kitchen is actually worth. At what point does negotiating become, for example, rude? When do you really know that nothing more is possible? Are there actually people who don’t negotiate at all and just take the first special price? I have wondered about that too. It’s a shame that I don’t know any private kitchen salesperson to squeeze for information. Since I have many expensive wishes, I also feel ridiculous setting my budget too low. The problem is also that I can’t manage to compare apples to apples because my desired kitchen has further developed with every planning appointment. In my small town, I have now been through all the studios except Roller. There are still neighboring towns. But I already see it coming that even after 5 more studios I still won’t have a kitchen. Almost all are planning me a Nobilia kitchen and the price comes out at about 20,000 euros, or even more if the kitchen were planned with the newest wishes. I ask whether I should buy the appliances myself to save money. Then I am advised against that. They wouldn’t install them for warranty reasons anyway. What price would you set in my place? And tell me how you got your kitchen and how you negotiated. I want - a tall cabinet row with 6 tall cabinets each 60 cm wide, boxed in drywall, of which 2 are pantry cabinets with pull-out shelves, in the other 4 tall cabinets there will be appliances - kitchen peninsula should be 1.2 m wide and about 3.10 m long and have only drawers on both sides. - I want rather expensive appliances Bosch Series 8 black Carbon Accent line, probably from the line oven with microwave, combi-steam oven and coffee machine. - cooktop with downdraft ventilation recirculation, flush-mounted (so far Bosch Series 8 was planned, no idea how good the cooktop is) - very quiet dishwasher brand doesn’t matter (so far Bosch and Neff were planned) - refrigerator in a tall cabinet with 2 bio fresh compartments, brand doesn’t matter (so far Liebherr and Bosch were planned) - ceramic countertop - ceramic sink as undermount sink I don’t want to spend more than necessary. But I realize that I probably won’t get it for 15,000 euros. How do you go about it?

Is the book really good? The self-promotion seemed so clickbaiting.... "Küchenverkäufer hassen diesen Trick"

Regarding the volume, many tall cabinets, large ceramic slab, etc., I consider €20,000 not to be excessive. The Bosch/Neff appliances are mid-range devices. If the individual prices are somewhat comparable to those on the Internet, I would take them from the kitchen studio instead of sourcing them myself. Installation costs are usually included in the price. In my planning, I first determine my requirements (space, workflow, quality, preferred layout, color, etc.), inform myself about the various brands including visiting factory showrooms (if the distance allows), and decide on a brand that convinces me the most. Then I start comparing 2-3 offers of the same brand, which are truly comparable (layout, dimensions, price range). I have learned that it is very important to decide on the flooring and color first before choosing the fronts.

Your wishes will simply cost at least 20k. You’ll get a sense of the price when you get some offers made, and then I would never buy from a kitchen studio I don’t like for maybe a 1k difference. During the show with the chef, when asking for a discount, etc., I once just stood up and said that I didn’t like the fuss.
