Hello everyone,
we have purchased a Swedish element house from the company AB-Elementhus. It has a solid masonry ground floor on which the element house then stands. Originally, the idea was to completely demolish the house and replace it with a new cross-laminated timber construction of the same size.
When studying the construction documents and permits of AB Elementhus, I was positively surprised by the construction. The wall structure is (inside-outside) cross-laminated timber 2cm, 16cm compressed wood chips, cross-laminated timber 2 cm, oven-lacquered aluminum 0.2mm. The planned floor plan of the new building could be implemented in the existing structure, so I am now considering not demolishing but rather renovating and refurbishing (insulation, interior, windows, etc.).
Does anyone have experience with these houses?
Best regards,
Harv
