Yes, the granny flat is off the table, the whole thing just doesn’t work out in terms of space. I can quickly post two screenshots that would clearly show our progress regarding 2 VG as well. Then we would also have more space for a possible larger garden/tool shed and I could use the space in the garage as a workshop. Although I’m an IT specialist/system electrician, I still like to do things by hand. What we haven’t necessarily ruled out, however, is the idea of having the washing machine and dryer on the upper floor. It all depends on the space on the ground floor, especially if the technology really has to include WP, ventilation system, fuse box with home automation, and a battery storage. For now, it’s only about the floor plan; windows and the like would come later when the rooms make sense. Some will now say: that has to go hand in hand, I agree, but before I put extremely expensive corner windows in the dressing room again and get total hate for it, I’d rather be more cautious at first. In this case, I would have put the cloakroom under the stairs. Bottom left kitchen, above that dining, then living, upper right work/guest, WC with shower and technology.
Blue again shows the building boundaries, the white around is the property boundary.
EDIT: it just sounded a bit sarcastic, but I wouldn’t hold that against you either
EDIT2: Boundary garages are permitted, I just have one question: what counts as a boundary garage? A small room attached to the back of the garage, or simply more space for storage, should be permissible too, right?
