What exactly do you mean by wiring to the actuators?

We do a "classic" wiring from the roller shutter motor to the switch, and then it runs, for example, with the Bosch system via wireless / Bosch base station.

Do you see things to consider with the current approach?

I would only really recommend wireless for retrofitting, it is wireless, Loxone offers both, we have also installed Air motors here, which however require a good wireless connection.

Even with the WLAN, I had the issue that we have 2 repeaters in the house to cover WLAN.

And for Loxone Air also 4 transmitters to capture the roller shutters, blinds, window contacts of the skylights, smoke detectors and remote control.

With these systems from Bosch etc. I am always cautious, what happens if the manufacturer no longer supports the system, will it then continue to run without restrictions?
Such cases do exist.

Absolutely correct! By the way, in the worst case, this especially applies to Loxone, which is also a proprietary system with only a single manufacturer.

No, it doesn't, the system is fully operational, only the external access has to be implemented differently. That is unfortunately a common misconception. No external server is necessary for operation.

Thank you for the hint, I know the system. Of course, it still works. But of course, it’s great to have a system that receives no updates or further developments and for which you can get replacement parts. Hint: The Zigbee stuff from other manufacturers also works without the internet. Only third-party cloud connections and native remote access do not. Same game as with Loxone then. Loxone has zero advantage here.

Spare parts... The internet is full of people offering parts, and that will continue in the future.

The problem with zigbee and enoacen is that everyone does their own thing, even with Sunspec manufacturers do not adhere to the standard.
And if it doesn't work, as an electrician you have a real bad hand because everyone shifts the blame.
Enoacen was a good idea, unfortunately only the system was protected, not the standard.

External access is possible via dynserver without problems.

If I go by that, I can only use conventional switches.
But systems like Google Nest and so on, which are cloud-based, always make you dependent on the provider.

Through the API connection, almost everything is possible nowadays, and with the loxberrry project things that have not been supported so far.
