But especially if you have the entrance on the "sleeping level," in my opinion, that just doesn't work. In my opinion, you would need a spatially separated and enclosed entrance area/windbreak here. However, this is very difficult with a straight staircase. The size of the house only just allows for a straight staircase (whether you like it or really want it (other staircase designs are more space-saving) is another matter) but not in the constellation with the entrance upstairs. If you don't have additional budget to build an extension as a windbreak, you will hardly manage that. You would have to move the staircase, which leads to a different floor plan, and the house hardly allows for that. Maybe reshuffle again and try a half-turn staircase at the location of the wardrobe/pantry. No idea if that helps, just an idea.
