So if the hallway on the ground floor is meant by the Donut Hole or the room in front of the dining table. Because the small hallway achen is difficult due to the doors

Exactly, the "can't make the hallway smaller" (but there is the surface after all) meant that you can't just cut it out (therefore: only a redesign remains).

For me, the floor plan is good as it is, several furnishing options are possible. The living room on the left would be my TV/projector wall, less reflection from the windows and a view from the kitchen is possible, acoustics of the system are better throughout the open space. View from the sofa to the garden and TV, TV/relax chair at the top and the dining table across or lengthwise depending on the number of guests. When fully occupied (14 people), we also always rearrange the table.

40sqm hallway/gallery is really quite a lot. If you want that, okay, but when do you actually spend time there? Instead, I would make the children's rooms 5sqm larger each – at least they would benefit from that.

Edit: Why actually three bathrooms? You don't even have one child at the moment. Even if two are planned, that doesn't mean all four people will use the bathroom at the same time.

Generous floor plans can be desired and loved. Not every house has to be optimized down to the last square meter. The overall effect is right for me, large circulation areas and large rooms mean living is equally relaxed and comfortable.
