Single-family house floor plan - where to put the mudroom?

Strange - I remember it differently: You are welcome to explain further: 1. how can a plan that does not even specify room dimensions already be sensitive regarding ceiling height, and 2. how do you then get the impression of distorted dimensions when tracing?

What I have taken is the dimensions of the entire house (total length/width) as well as the garage and carport; nothing more is drawn in the draft. With the help of these dimensions I could theoretically calculate the further dimensions - but it did not work.

I find it strange that you find an extremely large number of construction drawings here, where I am sure that the customers were informed about copyright and that these drawings may not be passed on to third parties. Out of respect for the creator/service provider/money earner I simply did not want to follow this practice.

It's a pity when such important things are not included. My wonder remains how you can still be sure that the result of your verification calculation differs when the basics are unknown (?)

I myself generally do not share images without my own rights and am surprised by the casual handling of others "retweeting" images from the internet. By the way, copyright to a plan refers to it as a whole, so an "own tracing" of it CHANGES NOTHING. Nevertheless, I assume that most judges weigh the need for consultation of construction-willing consumers (also in real life, involving strangers from the internet in this consultation in the 21st century) higher in the balance than the "privacy of correspondence" of the author of a house plan.

In your specific case, the floor plans are also "modified 08/15 at its best," so there is a high need for your consultation regarding the success of the modification while the originality of the floor plans is hardly undercut anymore. The most elegant solution in such cases is usually to give the fellow discussants a reference to the used basic model "Meierbau Hexenhäuschen Typ Hinzundkunz 125" and explain in text "on the ground floor we squeeze in a pantry and on the upper floor an additional dressing room and a storage room, which results in a botched slanted wall on the upper floor" (although with that you would have actually already answered the question about the wisdom of the modification yourself). Therefore, I always say: avoid increasing complexity in catalog floor plans! (since these are regularly cut without additions). By the way, it makes no difference whether it is a catalog or drawer floor plan known to both sides or whether the general contractor sells it as an alleged individual plan.
