Regarding the loft character - of course it is not a loft, I understood that... nevertheless it looks like it: Lofts are supposed to demonstrate creativity, they are usually not cozy or homely. Your design corresponds to a loft, meaning without real zoning. "One does not want" to see every last corner or have everything in view upon entering one’s home, as seen here. The opposing factor is the sight lines sofa -> entrance. THAT, meaning sitting between the living room window and the entrance door, ONE DOES NOT WANT. One does not want that. Therefore one does not plan it. It is like a toilet next to the stove. Walls are too busy. One looks for a wardrobe but does not find one.
