And why is the garage so crookedly attached there?

Your comments are still within the quotations... so to speak unreadable. Even worse with the site plan: the garage blocks the southwest light and causes a long driveway. Regarding the loft character - of course it is not a loft, I understood that... nevertheless it looks like it: Lofts are supposed to demonstrate creativity, they are usually not cozy or homely. Your design corresponds to a loft, meaning without real zoning. "One does not want" to see every last corner or have everything in view upon entering one’s home, as seen here. The opposing factor is the sight lines sofa -> entrance. THAT, meaning sitting between the living room window and the entrance door, ONE DOES NOT WANT. One does not want that. Therefore one does not plan it. It is like a toilet next to the stove. Walls are too busy. One looks for a wardrobe but does not find one.

Reflecting the house
Garage facing the street
Parents facing the building services

You stay fit in a house like this.
It is too big and impractical for me.
No possibility of retreat
Often, American floor plans still have a second separate living room.

Laundry, not sleeping children, all walking routes are maximized.

The structural engineer will still have requirements.

I would let the floor plan inside have a bit of German pragmatism.

What I also noticed: huge windows, do you have privacy screens behind the house? We have such a huge window facing the street in our current rental house, I would NEVER want that again. I have the feeling the neighbors could have the conception of my son on video.

Oh yes, and one more thing: that’s roughly 20x15 meters. I assume you want to build it out of wood then, or how is it planned? Like basically in the USA? Because as a solid construction, that couldn’t work even with your budget, or am I being too pessimistic?

Your upper floor is larger in the bottom right than the section of kitchen/living room? That means there will be a covering in this corner? But your terrace exit is the large window front on the right side of the living room?
