Single-family house - American farmhouse

my name is Yannick and at the moment I am planning a house with my wife in the American farmhouse style.

I have the opportunity to use our CAD system through my job and have created a floor plan which I am disclosing here to hear opinions and criticism.
I hope that I can improve the floor plan through this.

Exciting, what do you understand by American farmhouse, give us some more info ... Who created the floor plan based on what? Site plan? In the ground floor bedroom, how much space is there between the end of the bed and the wall? Where does something like a wardrobe go? What goes into the upper floor?

A few individual measurements would do the floor plan good.

Does the house fit on your plot?
What is your budget?
What should the house look like from the outside?
What makes the floor plan a farmhouse?

That is quite large. Please keep in mind that Americans do not build as permanently and therefore build more cheaply (somewhat generalized, but there are always exceptions). The German standard in size is expensive.

Please fill out the basic floor plan questionnaire once so that all forum members can assess what your conditions etc. are. Otherwise, what immediately strikes me: - Washing machine/dryer should not be in the last corner of the utility room, the walking routes are absolutely impractical - Door to the heating room is missing - a covered terrace between the living room/kitchen where you don’t have proper access? - Behind the parents' shower a wall is missing - Upstairs there are dressing rooms at the bottom of the plan and another room on the right side of the plan, all a bit difficult to interpret without doors?! - Without a site plan of the property, it seems that you now have a very, very long access path to the front door - and how big is your property and budget for such a house please?!

And important: Which development plan applies there? Regarding the area and design.

Even in areas without a development plan, you have to fit in with the existing buildings, so if the neighbors have not built similarly, there will be a lot of discussions with the authorities.
