Skylight in the dressing room, now I understand that. Sorry, it’s a great idea. We are also considering the open roof truss above the staircase. However, it won’t be completely glass. More like the attached picture.

In what way alternatives? Other facing bricks? Available at any building materials store. Facing bricks that look exactly like the Wittmunder? I’m interested too, let me know if you find any. The roof windows in the last picture, does anyone clean them? If not, probably no problem, but if someone doesn’t like dirty panes, I imagine that could be difficult.

That's exactly my question, there are other traditional clinker manufacturers as well, which maybe are not priced at €1.70 per brick.

The roof windows in the last picture, does anyone clean them? If not, probably no problem, but if someone doesn’t like dirty panes, I imagine that to be difficult.

What are ladders for, just an idea as well.

So it wouldn’t be my exterior view... I don’t like clinker brick. But that might be a South/North German feeling. To me, it always gives the impression of factory buildings.

I also think it’s stupid that the garage and storage room are on the south side. Is that really what’s intended? Why not put the storage room on the north side?

The walk-in closet is a joke. If my old eyes don’t deceive me and I read the dimensions correctly (it’s a bit blurry), then it’s not a 3m closet, something like 2.89m or so. That also means you can’t get a standard closet here. Or you limit yourself to 2.50m. Overall, that’s really tight (it wouldn’t be enough for us at all). On top of that, there’s no basement; so you have to store all seasonal clothes (ski suits, winter coats and jackets, etc.) in those almost 3 meters.

In the bedroom, the wall opposite the bed is at least 3m, but unfortunately also has a window…

I would think carefully about whether those 2.5m of closet are really sufficient. I fear, probably not.

Hi again

A normal roof window is possible in an emergency, I think. But a cladding matching the wall covering must then be installed.

Personally, I would build a glass ridge, which I would even plan at 30 cm above the roof surface. Possibly additionally light openings in the staircase

The closet situation in the bedroom is actually extremely poor. I wonder if the bed could possibly be turned. Then direct access to the bedroom and another wardrobe on the wall. The small window would have to give way a bit. Then the closet in the dressing room could be extended to the full width of the room. I would also extend it around the corner at the back.

Floor space almost tripled! *patting myself on the shoulder*
