Hello everyone,

I hope you might be able to give us a price range. We are currently considering not covering our extension with bricks, but with a heat-insulated triple-glazed glass roof. It would be just under 14 sqm of roof area. Does anyone have experience with what a glass roof with internal shading would cost? Of course, we have already contacted glaziers, but have not received any offers yet and would like a rough idea of whether we can afford it, or alternatively plan for 2-4 Velux windows.

Many thanks for your help.

Think about that with the internal shading!

Unfortunately, we don't have space for an external one. What speaks against the internal one? Many thanks

I would say the effectiveness regarding heat radiation. You don't primarily want the shade for darkening, but mainly to prevent heating - and in the case of internal shading, the glass between outside and inside has already been overcome.

It looks like it will now come down to 4 Velux windows after all. The house is now fully brick-clad and we are waiting for the roofing.

Kind goddess, who built the creepy sand-lime stone sculpture between the stair flights?
