That is good news. Then you are still in the running. Some will quit in my opinion, you can count on that.

Extension of the deadline again for the previously selected candidates. I am somewhat confused by this, given that dozens of applicant families are in the pipeline, whose financing was already clarified in advance. But the city can probably do whatever it wants even in a supposedly transparent tendering process.

Do I understand correctly that lottery winners ahead of you on the allocation list are needlessly dawdling their purchase option into a notary appointment and tormenting you by keeping you waiting?

It is probably allowed to show understanding for delays, but all within reasonable limits and in observance of the proportionality principle. There should also be an opposition in your local council, or is a grand coalition running amok there?

"It cannot be ruled out that applicants will still drop out despite confirmation when the draft purchase contract is presented, as I have experienced in another development, because the financing then did not work out after all, which is why I grant the extensions before costs arise and the city has to reallocate again." That is the city's statement regarding the extensions. Annoying for everyone else. Our desired plot is still pending, along with some others. I do not yet know what the re-draw will look like.

Apparently there have already been several lottery rounds, and so far the lady has had no luck. Unfortunately, our desired plot of land is still pending.

Plots 3+4 have not yet been allocated and could be purchased directly. However, this doesn’t help much if a semi-detached house is to be built on it – the city will not sell both plots to one family to build a single house. Renting out one half of a semi-detached house doesn’t seem to be allowed either.. I also find the driveway to the garage quite annoying.. it takes away half the garden. We are waiting further.

This would be my plan B here, after the active search. If an uncovered parking space near the street is allowed and only two slab tracks lead to the cellar replacement garage, I would still consider that.
