Let's put it this way - it's a nice gadget. For me, the topic of fingerprint and RFID was decisive. If you don't want to realize the whole thing with different products, that massively limits the choices, and then you are in an area that stands out next to the front door, no matter whether you hang a Goliath, a Doorbird, 2N or something similar there. Visually, it's just no longer the small cheap 0815 camera. The Goliath itself already comes across as very high-quality even in the packaging. Whether the material still looks that nice after a few years remains to be seen. The first impression is definitely good, even though it is still plastic. I find the indoor monitor really chic (from the pictures clearly nicer than the Doorbird one). In the internal Goliath comparison, the 10-inch screen is easier to handle than the 7-inch. As an extension, the 7-inch screen is enough for us. For the hallway, I'm glad I went with the 10-inch display. In terms of operation, the system on the display is relatively easy to handle for everyday use. The range of functions is of course very limited. For the configuration itself in the web interface, I can imagine that some people might reach their limits. The system is set up so that it would also work for hotels and offices. That is naturally confusing, as you only use a fraction of it in a single-family house. However, if you buy from Goliath, everything is preconfigured so that you just assemble it but have to set up relatively little yourself. There are also good videos available to configure the remaining items like RFID and fingerprint without problems. There are several apps. I set them up on the tablet just for fun. They worked quite alright, but they didn’t really convince me. On vacation, though, you could check what the weather is like at home :) I have the feeling Goliath or Dahua rather rely on a closed system. Doorbird is somewhat more open at first glance, from what I’ve read. Anyone who wants to integrate the Goliath system into their smart home should, in my opinion, know what they are doing. Since Goliath only distributes the product here in Germany, you usually end up with Dahua in China for questions (at least I read that in a forum specifically about IP telephones). I managed to grab the image via browser on the computer, but everything else is beyond me. Here, is probably better informed. Anyone who finds the topic of door opener and internet connection too risky can also operate the whole thing completely closed by running the POE switch separately from the rest of the network. Then, of course, using the app is not possible.
