With the tablet or phone locked, do you still have to unlock first and then, if necessary, click on the push notification? Or am I just doing something wrong?

okay. Unlocking the phone or tablet is clear. But why would you want to click on a message first when you can start the app directly?

On the phone, you probably won't have the app permanently open in the foreground. So unlock and then start the app or just start the app via the push notification. I find that too complicated compared to the fairly simple function of the Dahua/GOLIATH indoor station. I will try an automation app like Tasker.

I understand... but getting up and walking to the door station is even more inconvenient, though healthier ;)

It's not even about opening the door yet. At the moment, we regularly have continuous ringing when the "buddies" of our child ask to play outside, while my wife is still working in the home office. It might get a bit better when our own child comes in with the fingerprint and doesn't ring the bell as well. I'll look for a used tablet without a lock to put on the wall of the study. The app can run in the foreground there.

and how does it work with tablet and app? That might also be my idea for our new building.... instead of the indoor station a tablet (additionally with Home Assistant for other things) and the dahua app... Maybe you could do something with tasker, as soon as the push notification comes the app goes to the foreground
