Retrofit fingerprint digital lock!

Does anyone have experience with the Inotherm doors and the integrated fingerprint system INOSMART? Is it any good?

Fingerprint and PIN code combined - it should work well, right?

As already mentioned, I advise against numeric codes. Too easy to spy out, children can slip up.

If numeric codes are used, then individual codes for each user (the system must be able to do this). Otherwise, if compromised, all are locked out at once.

Also consider, when it comes to a solution with children, that fingerprint readers should be mounted relatively high to present the finger at the proper angle. The children will therefore have to be of a certain age before they can use the fingerprint reader or at least hold a token.

I have meanwhile found the new doorkeeper from Somfy, which has been on the market for about 8 months. Since we have Somfy or something similar in the house, that would be an option.

The problem is the price... 399 for the lock + 299 for the keypad. It can work with both tokens and numbers, as well as for children's bracelets, etc.

The website is very uninformative, or rather, the old system is still being offered there. The only shop where you can still find the Doorkeeper is from the Czech Republic. Experience = 0. I suspect you can only get it through specialist dealers.

That’s the problem, that someone gets many things only through specialized dealers or from France. I also got my Tahoma box back then from France. I haven’t found much information myself on Facebook. In one group, a few people have it and are satisfied.

A little tip. With children, the fingerprint scanner only works from around 8 years old (of course, always somewhat individual); before that, the children's fingers are too delicate.
