Thank you for your information. The heating load from the energy consultant is worthless, I have already noticed that (individual renovation roadmap is available). I wanted to try the room-by-room heating load calculation myself, but maybe it is better to have it commissioned after all.

The different flow temperatures are then realized with two heating circuits and mixers, and the two heat pumps are connected in series? Or does each apartment have its own heat pump?

Panasonic "Jeisha", as often recommended in the HTD forum, I had already suspected from the photo. Can you say something about the noise level? Did you have the optional sound insulation from rjtec installed?

We are also switching from oil to heat pump, so I am very interested :)

Actually, each apartment has its own heat pump. I could have taken the 9kW version and then mixed, split, etc. But that would be nonsense. I use the already existing heating pipes for the apartment on the upper floor; for me on the ground floor, I did everything new. Yep. I ran it at full power for the screed drying (with about 900 liters per hour) and also once tested what maximum flow I could achieve (just under 2,000 liters per hour). The noise level was really manageable. During the day: only audible when you get within about 1-2m At night, when it is quiet outside: Closed window: not audible Tilted window (tenant’s bedroom is directly above, about 150 cm to the side): not audible To hear it at all, you have to get within a few meters (4-5?) No, I wanted to try it like this first. I still want to add insulation and then see if it gets quieter. My freestanding refrigerator in the kitchen is louder. It stands on a concrete foundation on the right and left, and on top of that, damping mounts.

Very interesting approach with WP per apartment. Did you use any special models for the radiator replacement on the upper floor, or just bigger ones so they can heat the room with comparatively low temperatures?

Earlier I read something about insulation. Is an ETICS going on the facade?

Thanks for your impressions regarding the noise level. It’s really tricky, some find it very quiet and others very loud. I would probably order the optional sound insulation right away to be on the safe side. But it already sounds good that it is so quiet.

Everyone advised against taking only one heat pump. Since there is a KfW subsidy, the difference is now only a few € (under 1,000€). You also need 2x domestic hot water heating. Or should that then run via instantaneous water heaters? Then you also save yourself the complicated heating billing (no heat meters needed either). Not to mention the stress of using a photovoltaic system, which also supplies the individual heat pump with electricity, thereby heating two apartments. Billing chaos (self-consumption, tenant electricity, and whatever else gets mixed). The models that ensure the subsidized heat output. They ended up being Buderus type 33. So the largest possible variant (at a reasonable price). Then it depends on the flow temperature. At low temperatures, the performance of the radiators drops significantly. But they fit into my old radiator niches. Yep. Otherwise, it won’t be KfW 55. At first, I just wanted to do my apartment + facade and provide the tenant with a new heating system. With a little extra effort (just windows + attic ceiling insulation), I easily got into KfW 55, which triggered a massively increased subsidy, so in the end it actually became cheaper because of the subsidy.

In terms of billing, that makes things a lot easier. In our case, there is no central drinking water heating, but in your case, really practical.

OK, I hadn't considered [KfW55]. That makes sense. I will definitely continue to read with interest.

After the screed arrived in the meantime, the interior construction continues. The screed was given an accelerator, so it was ready to be covered after seven days. It became perfectly level and does not crack. Extra cost 400 €, but I save myself additional rent in my current apartment.

Unfortunately, there are still problems with the windows, so they can only be fully installed in the next few weeks. But whatever.

But now, a few photos.
You could watch the screed drying. The guest WC has received its first tiles. Room divider with lighting as well as the window seat board are finished. First parquet laid. TV wall almost finished (LEDs are still missing). Interior insulation in the fireplace room is coming to the ceiling. Hallway has light, is plastered and painted.
