It's always interesting to follow such a project and see how the diamond is being polished :D
Amazing how densely the heating coils are laid out

But it is a lot of work - own contributions on one side and construction management/contracting on the other. That's about 300m of heating pipe for just under 25sqm. Laying distance 5cm. It's a basement level, so insulation downward isn't really possible afterward, meaning we have to compensate with appropriate heating power. That's why there's also an engineering firm for heat load calculation and heater design and not just "we've always done 10cm".

I thought exactly the same! Someone followed their own advice and also kept an eye on the craftsmen or even did some work themselves ;)

Chapeau, ! I'm curious to see how it looks when it's finished!

Yep. It's not rocket science with a laying plan either. Installation with connection to the heating circuit distributor took about four hours.

I can't preach water and drink wine ;)

Since so many renovation threads have come up in the last few weeks, I thought I'd show a bit of practical work again.

Great project. Interesting that you commissioned a heating load calculation. Would you like to say more about the topic of heating load, heat pumps in connection with radiators in rented apartments, and the size of the Panasonic heat pumps? For us, it will be the same: underfloor heating in our apartment, radiators in the rented apartment.

Since I am doing the renovation completely in self-performance/self-contracting without an architect, this is the only possible solution. The energy consultant only calculates the entire building, which is ultimately not useful, especially when different heat emitters are used (underfloor heating/radiators).

In the end, I commissioned room-by-room heating load calculations for both apartments (Heckmann - which is probably also popular with DIYers). In addition to the heating load calculation, the underfloor heating design was also calculated according to my wishes including the installation plan (specification of temperatures and flow temperature) as well as the dimensioning of the radiators. Naturally with hydraulic balancing - because you can also adjust flow rates on the valves of the radiators.

Considering that there are two apartments, I decided on two heat pumps. Although it is also possible with one larger heat pump, it is hydraulically not good, also with different flow temperatures (underfloor heating 30/26 at 22 degrees room temperature and radiators with 40/35 at 20 degrees room temperature).

The house has a total heating load of approximately 7 kW (200 sqm). Thus, the 5 kW monoblocks of the latest generation were chosen for each. One also receives very good advice from rjtec here (a commissioning service is even offered if you install the system yourself ==> which by the way is a child's play). Due to the good modulation capability of the devices, they fit perfectly to the house.
I have already used them with the underfloor heating and dried the screed. The system for the second apartment is not yet completely finished, the radiators are also not yet installed. I will do that in autumn when my apartment is finished. Besides, there is still enough oil in the tank ;-)

I will upload new pictures over the weekend, since the move is supposed to take place in six weeks.
