We have the WAGNER Airless paint spraying system Control 150 M. I don't find it that great and count it as a bad purchase (so if you're interested ;) ). If you paint the whole house at once, with no floors/baseboards/doors/switches etc. installed yet, and you can work with a full face mask (that was one of my biggest problems, because it fogs up completely within seconds), you can get a lot done quite quickly, but in my opinion you still have to tape off much more meticulously and cleaning the device also takes quite a long time. It's not suitable for quickly painting one room.

But I also know professionals who use a spraying system.

Exactly, if I were to do it, I would do several rooms at once. I have always been so meticulous with taping off that a paint bomb could explode in the room afterwards. So that wouldn't be the problem. When I watch videos of DIYers on the internet using it, it always looks so easy and none of them wear a full mask either. As someone wrote here... it sounds too good to be true. ;)

Glasses are a must, I think, and a mask... well, I don't want to breathe in the spray mist for too long. As I said, I could also lend you the thing... Then at least something will still happen with it until we are ready to use it again in the rooms...

A colleague of mine painted it herself like that on plaster and has been complaining ever since that bits of plaster keep falling off... you would just remove it from the wall when rolling and that’s it

and a professional doesn’t tape anything off at all so you can’t take anything off them.

Spray painting was not for us. Maybe we were just too clumsy. We sprayed the ceiling first. Unfortunately, some paint went astray, so the walls also got splatters that remained visible despite attempts to fix them. A roller was faster and cleaner for us.

Excuse me? What doesn’t a pro tape off?

The pro doesn’t tape off, but then the builder cleans for hours afterwards. (Is that what you meant?):D

You always have spots and, when using a roller, very fine paint splatters. So no matter what you “paint” with, taping off is half the battle.

And with spraying, the effort of taping off is even much greater!

The advertising always suggests that you can paint/spray almost in a suit/dress…
Yeah, yeah. For most people, the floor is already ruined as soon as they open the paint can. ;)
