Okay, but this constellation is not really realistic for a clerk with a degree like in your example. 100k is not everyone's salary even at Siemens or other IG Metall companies.
Here, EG9 as the starting salary and level 2 after 18 months + 14-16% performance bonus and T-ZUG for the graduate clerk is closer to reality. And you end up "only" between 65-70k euros. That is a decent salary for 2 years of professional experience. But you still have to live quite frugally if you want to buy a plot in Erlangen and not in Neustadt/Aisch. Without a second income or an inheritance, not much will happen there.
As said, even though there are big employers in the area, you don't automatically earn six figures just because you work there. Land prices rise disproportionately compared to regular salary development.
Bachelor —> EG 9
Master —> EG 10
A buddy (Master) started in Bavaria (not Siemens) with EG 10. The contract also fixed the progression to EG12 after at most 4 years. But of course, it depends on how the position is evaluated.
Although I must say that I find the aforementioned 50k for the electrical technician a bit weak for the region. Years ago, as a mechanical engineer at an SME, I already earned more and here you (still) don’t have to pay 600k for a semi-detached house. So maybe not the optimum was achieved?
But you say it yourself: "after 2 years of professional experience." After 4 years, 80-90k should be possible (possibly by switching jobs) and then 100k is not far off. Of course, sitting out the time in the same position can make the whole development take significantly longer.
