I'll get to the point.
Finally, another independent question:
Along the property line there is an old overhead power line. See picture. This once supplied my old building (no longer necessary today) and still supplies a house on the other side of the street. Since I no longer need this line, I would like to have it removed up to the next pole (see front left).
Do you have any experience with this and what costs should be expected? Is this handled by the power provider or the building authority?
We have something similar on our property, the neighboring houses also have overhead lines that we actually do not want and do not want to see.
I called the local provider and arranged a non-binding appointment at the property with them.
During the appointment it turned out that what is not needed will be removed and the neighbor’s line can be set up on a new pole at the end of the property, which we have to pay for. The guy said costs for removal of everything and new pole + new connections were estimated at around €1,500 - 2,000.
Thus, we would get rid of the old overhead lines, only the one to the neighbor would remain and this would be out of our field of view if we allow the new pole to be installed.
Of course, it depends on what kind of person you get, but I would just make a non-binding appointment with the local power supplier so that everything can be discussed.
Best regards
