All funded wallboxes have an intelligent control system integrated. This was a condition to even get on the list of funded boxes. The problem was that it was only a prerequisite condition and there were and still are no details about the final implementation. Anyone who was a bit forward-looking also had a second data cable laid to the wallbox prophylactically, in addition to a LAN cable. I am curious how the intelligent control will be implemented in practice?

In the end, maybe it's better to forgo the subsidy and, if in doubt, be able to receive full benefits forever?
I believe there is currently no subsidy for Wallboxes in Berlin anyway.

The condition of the intelligent control was now with the large KFW funding. How the current local funding models look I cannot say.

Indeed, the kfw leaflet states that only wallboxes that can be retrofitted are eligible for funding. I am very curious to see which manufacturer will actually integrate this afterward and, above all, which customer will then also activate it. There are no obligations there to begin with, are there?!

Here he is again, as reliable as a Swiss watch :) I don't need a more powerful power cable (just that phrasing...) in the course of the fiber expansion. My house connection can handle 85 kW, so I could still tape five to seven more 11 kW wallboxes to the wall. It's not about the distribution networks, but about what and how power gets into the local grids, i.e., on the power plant side and via the high-voltage lines. It will be interesting to see how remote control for wallboxes is actually implemented. My parents-in-law have two Go-e units on the wall through the subsidy. They do have Wi-Fi, but the garage does not.

Where local networks are indeed a problem. In our old apartment, we had an underground garage with nearly 200 parking spaces. Even with load management, a new connection for the underground garage is required. Next to it, there is a similarly sized underground garage. And those are just the cars. With heat pumps, there are also substantial connections for 50-60 residential units per building. And additional connections in the megawatt range are no longer simply attached to existing distribution boxes. This should not distract from the fact that high-voltage lines and supraregional electricity transport are a problem, one that will worsen due to varying weather conditions.
