16 kW is an interesting number. That would be 3x230V×23.1A. There is no such fuse, I know 20A and 25A. So 13.8 kW or 17.2 kW.

I have 3x50A in the main distribution box, on request 3x63 would also have been possible, my father-in-law has that.
That is then almost 35 or 44 kW.

No one needs that, unless you want to operate an instantaneous water heater in addition to the heat pump, so you can fill the bathtub with warm water before the water cools down again.

This will not collapse. We just buy Czech nuclear and Polish coal power, and cover the rest with gas ;)
A variable tariff is not price-attractive though

As you can nicely see live on the netzfrequenz page, there were massive disturbances in the grid frequency at the end of March. An unusually high number of interventions were necessary to secure the grid frequency. The German power grids were already reaching their limits as changing cloud cover caused photovoltaic systems to oscillate between zero and maximum feed-in values. Nothing seems to be running that stable.
When the nuclear power plants are shut down from the end of next week, it will become even more exciting.

Too much power is just as unfavorable as too little power, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain and regulate the grid frequency at 50 Hz at all. If the frequency rises or falls, something gets switched off—either the feed-in units or, conversely, the consumers.

As I predicted, the limiting factor are and will be the grids.

Yes. An energy supply based purely on solar and wind requires storage. That goes without saying. Most of the energy we need in Germany is required in winter, when unfortunately the sun is rather weak. Wind cannot compensate for that.

This can be somewhat compared to agriculture. In winter, relatively few fields are harvested; people then live off what they have harvested in surplus during the summer and stored.

Good comparison. Look into German supermarkets in winter and show me the products stored in Germany. It will have to be the same with electricity.

Do you want to claim that wheat and animal feed come from abroad in winter because we don't store anything?
