Do I understand correctly that you are not allowed to move for at least 6 years? That the house cannot be sold or rented out? The tenant could also have an eCar and continue to use the system. And how does KfW monitor this, do you have to submit a report on usage every year?

Every subsidy or grant disrupts markets that have been functioning until then. Photovoltaics are already being significantly promoted by the VAT reduction for everyone. This has developed well and has actually sustainably lowered prices.

The eligible complete packages offered here will hardly bring cost savings, as they are likely to have a price-increasing effect again. Everything has to be done by one company and it will be more expensive anyway. Maybe you can reach the goal faster and cheaper without subsidies. Not necessarily, but it can be.

It is like with the promotion of wallboxes. They suddenly all cost around 900 euros because the eligible amount was also 900 euros. Today, a wallbox no longer costs 300 euros. The promotion at that time was available even without owning an electric car. I myself had approval for 2 wallboxes but did not claim the subsidy. I do not need it at the moment nor in the foreseeable future.

There is usually more frustration than joy about it. I am more in favor of promoting everyone and then preferably a somewhat lower subsidy amount, rather than a few lucky people.

Have you already submitted the application or are you planning to do so in 2024? If you live in your dream home, you don't move. You have to report changes yourself. Then you just pay back if it requires a move. The photovoltaic system including storage and wallbox increases the value of the property or, if in doubt, the rent/additional costs.

I had actually planned to try it in 2024. However, my job could require a move within the next few years. If then the entire funding has to be paid back, that would be quite annoying. Without funding, I would definitely do without the storage and the second wallbox.

My system was approved and has already been paid by KFW. I have one question here. Are the earnings that the supplier pays me considered income on my tax return? I am not allowed to claim the installation of the system for tax purposes.

No, not anymore. I assume that you have not opted for VAT either, so you actually do not have to do anything anymore. I still have to deal with VAT (older system, but cannot switch yet).
