The table shown in the floor plan is only 150 cm wide .. and this already reveals the crux of the room.

That's what the LeMans pull-outs are for at the bottom.... there you can load the last corner and reach it perfectly.

No, nothing happens there. First, you can paint the wall with elephant skin, second, you can train yourself not to just put everything in, you can empty the contents first. Nothing has gone wrong for us in 10 years, just discipline.

Visitors need to be slim to sit in the "back rows of chairs."

But you can try that at home now to see how much tightness suits you.

You always have to walk to the farthest corner to the fridge; it would be better on the right side. But if there are only two of you, it’s not that important. Still, you should try now how it is to live and work with a 1m aisle clearance.

Drawers extend 45 cm into the room, a fridge door 60 cm. Imagine opening the oven (built into the tall unit, with the microwave above), whether you have enough room when you take something out of the oven. The oven door extends 45 cm into the room.

They break easily, are expensive, and don’t really make good use of the space. Sometimes a dead corner is more sensible.

I was thinking more of a mismatched shared flat kitchen. What do you mean by top and bottom? You're wasting much more useful space the way you have it?! So, I would do it like this. I don't see a counter, especially since the dining area is right nearby, and: there is practically no space. The layout is up to the original poster to decide. However, I would change the swing side of the patio door. I set the island at 140 x 80, but personally I would go with 160 width as well. The dining table is 165 x 80… not great either, but there’s no way around it. The room doesn’t allow more. I could imagine a round table as well. (But I don’t think the original poster, with an estimated 60 years of planning and design experience, will be impressed here ;))

I don't think the floor plan is bad, but I would swap the sink and stove and place the dishwasher where one of the 100 cm cabinets is.
