Photovoltaics also pay off when externally financed. Just connect the heat pump to the regular meter. If that doesn't work, then build yourself a meter cascade so that the heat pump can also use the electricity from the roof and you still have two rates.

I also wonder how you do it, I had 68% last month without storage with heat pump and air conditioning.
Such a storage is really worth it.

Self-consumption with us is currently 35% with just under 7 kWp with a heat pump and without storage. I am very satisfied with that, especially in summer.

Right, mixed it up, was due to the number - insanely high power consumption... With the battery, you should already be hitting 100% in summer, otherwise it's totally pointless.

Such statements are too simplistic. It also depends on the ratio of system size to storage size and the demand of the household. My photovoltaic system, with just under 7 kWp "normal size," generates significantly more electricity per day in summer than my household needs. Not even the best battery can help with that. But yes, storage is just a hobby. That can change when the photovoltaic subsidy expires.
