Accordingly, I am considering sizing the photovoltaic system only as large as the basic hourly demand of the entire house. This is naturally not very large, but since I don’t need a big photovoltaic system for it, even a used bargain on eBay for a few euros could be a good investment. So far, this has been the most interesting idea for me because then I would need no or only a small, inexpensive storage.

Why is that? The cost of electricity production with a photovoltaic system is in most cases significantly below the current feed-in tariff. This way, the feed-in tariff helps you pay for the system. The larger the system, the more consumption you can cover in weak months during winter. So: fill up the roof!
